They should've done another 29 year wait to match up with the lore tbh. I mean I know it's awhile, but that's part of why Hocus Pocus 2 got as much attention as it did when it came out.

Nobody is watching it then, since its main base, late gen x (1974-1980) and early millennials (1981-1996), are all dying out.

While gen z have their own things, and  gen alpha are defintely will ignoring it cos having no connection to it, the way millenials and gen z are largely ignoring Indiana Jones stuffs  

They release this quickly mainly to prevent that imho, to get new gen to see it too, hence the franchise can be kept alive

She had long been twisting people's arms for a sequel to The First Wives Club (a bizarre concept, but one she was passionate about because it remains her biggest box office success)... but now that Diane Keaton has passed, this is her golden goose.

I hate seeing her destroy something special just for (another) paycheck 💔

Just hoping its nothing like Hocus Pocus 2 with new characters. Just focus on the witches. Some further 'in the modern world' reactions would be so fun. That was the best part of the movie imo when they were in that convenience/beauty store.

I enjoyed the sequel for what it was! I think the expectations were way too high and that’s what messed it up for a lot of people
