On one side I'm happy that she skipped the Bezos Gala () but on the other side I was hoping for a joint slay with Doechii to give Runway a bit of exposure and boost..

So, the rumors that celebrities boycotted the gala because of bezos were just rumors.. imo gaga didn't boycott it.. it's another reason.

She left this gala at the top and that's it, nobody will ever top what she did, not even herself.. she left with a bang.

I mean, why should she top herself. I delusionally believed she would perform SOAW and GL. As for the look - well. She knows how to draw attention even without participating in the longest train race. I could see her doing something creative and memorable. Yet, if she decided not to go, may it be. She's been serving looks for almost 2 years straight now

I mean, it's not like I complained or something, I was praising her, and theorizing why she's been absent since 2019 when she made history with her looks and entrance..

I mean that last look itself wasn't that amazing, the performance itself was. There's so much talent in the fashion spheres that she could easily outdo all of her past outfits. Idk for someone who was that fashiony in her career its odd that she has do little mets under her belt.

MET Gala is an odd crowd, the event is basically one big promotional plug for brands disguised as a fundraiser. Each year I'm surprised the museum is big enough to contain all these people's egos - I wouldn't put it past anyone who would want to avoid it.

When it comes to subjective taste what the majority or minority think matters not. Because its subjective.

Fashion is ultimately subjective like every creative art.

You’re not alone, I also thought the outfit was atrocious. Her second outfit inside was much better, though Björk wore pretty much the same version a year ago.

I thought the best were Emma Chamberlain, Gwendoline Christie, Jeremy Pope, Sarah Paulson and Madonna.

That’s literally all it is  Ok it’s fun to watch and judge the outfits, but let’s be real about what it ultimately is. Numerous people have admitted not enjoying their time there.

I can't imagine Gaga wants to be there either. She's outwardly PR conscious and a near billionaire herself but there's still that real bitch inside her that's barely too polite to tell all those people how fake they are

I agree, each time she went was out of friendship for someone that specifically requested her presence: Alexander Wang, Donatella, Anna… I don’t think she would attend randomly for the sake of being there.
