Hard to say. Disease could've been the best but I think it was rushed and some parts could've been executed better. Abracadabra is a great video period, I just wish it had more of a storyline. Runway is SERVING amazing looks but remains a very simple video.

A perfect video would've Disease's storyline and cinematography, with Abracadabra choreo scenes and Runway looks :flutter:

See, I see Abra as the follow up to Disease, so there’s less explicit storyline because Disease was the exposition (setting up the conflict between the Mistress and EtherealGa)

I’ve truly never understood your beef with Disease Ngl lol

The setting doesn't match the song for me :partysick:

Nothing about Disease says "1:30pm on a Sunday afternoon in the suburbs, better go beat the sh*t out of myself after attempting auto-vehicular manslaughter" :messga:

Which, imo, is what makes it exciting. I love the unexpected horror of these torture, chase, and body horror scenes happening in a normal suburban neighborhood in the middle of the day. I’m sure a vid that was set in a darker place would’ve been good, but the contrast of those two things was surreal and unsettling in a way Gaga usually doesn’t go for, which made it a stand out for me.

But also: you’re telling me you ain’t beating the **** out of yourself in the middle of the day?!

I just coulda done with a time change is all :partysick:

A little more "Nightmare on Elm Street but gay", a little less "Desperate Housewives but schizophrenic" :partysick:

Imagine the Mistress's shadow stretching under a streetlight coming for miss Gagita and the other light and color play that could've been done if it wasn't broad daylight :bradley:

I genuinely have no idea where the DH reference comes into play :air: I see the vision for an Elm Street style video, but I just think going against the grain (night time/dark equals spooky) makes it more unnerving. Blue Velvet meets Jeepers Creepers + daytime stalking scenes in the first Halloween movie teas.

I feel like she’s done the purely dark ooky spooky thing so many times that what she did with the video was both unexpected and effective. I also just love how heightened her aesthetic is relative to the setting and how grimey and gross she looks for the whole thing compared to how normal and pristine the backdrop is.

Nvm tho just remembered they don't have choreo scenes, but the similarities are there #tome

Abra is one of her best ever videos. DEFINITELY top 3 for me. Runway is amazing as is Disease but I don’t wanna make any definitive rank of Runway until it’s had more time

Robert Wun wishes I was dead with this pleat work he does so not Runway. And Abra is a tight, great video but that’s mostly it. Disease is the only one that does some new things for her visually imo

'Cause the first time I watched it I said "bitch why are we on Wisteria Lane" :icant:

And idk, I guess I'd rather the Mistress change the setting around her or something rather than just looking like an avant garde serial killer chasing her 39 year old twin into her three bedroom two bath on a random weekday :bradley:

It just doesn't work with me :ladyhaha:

Which speaks to her as the perfect celebrity but her and her clone are duking it out inside and it’s getting ugly :vegas:

I think the Wisteria Lane set is a block over in this backlot so you were close
