I suppose the difference here would be that, as opposed to DWAS, GL sounds good We have forgotten our public MANNERS 1 1

It's not her best work but it needs a bit of appreciation that it made a mainstream impact which is always a good thing for a pop star. And maybe some GP hunger for another ballad... Eh, pretty dull for my taste. Perfectly fine song, pretty overrated, imo. Appreciate it’s commercial success and the doors that’s opened for her, but doesn’t really change how I feel abt the song itself. They just made a decision based on how the movie ended so probably Runway fits more with that but by doing that, they killed all the awards chances for Glamorous Life, they should've used it in the movie. The song is way too good to be wasted like that Gaga was invited to appear in the film after MAYHEM was released
AVeryGagaHolyDick 30,417
The idea that Gaga watched Ava Max perform is just so odd to me it’s like finding out Donald Trump played a musician in Titanic or something

One is a classic Gaga glam 60s-70s Beatles-esque power ballad, the other is a Bruno style 60s-70s pop/soul number with a light dash of Miz Ga. The only drastic difference is that one is more piano-focused and the other is more guitar-focused. Other than that, they’re almost sister songs
