I really liked HMH. However, I will say this ballad does avoid one of the few things I don’t care for which is the repetitiveness of some of her ballads. ‘Million reasons about a million reasons’ x100, ‘Hold my hand, hold my,’ x 100, and ‘Shallow shallalaloh’. Also the lyrics seem more personal and relatable

Same! It really helped me through some tough times and was genuinely the comfort I needed that had seemingly fallen out of the sky with its sudden release. And it's indeed well written, sonically and lyrically (the way everything crescendoes still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up!). And I also prefer it to DWAS, always have. Twin moment? 

I really like her ballads, especially live, so it's sad to hear they're not that appreciated round here. I mean You and I at the piano, Speechless, HMH, Dope, Shallow, 1000 Doves demo, INLA, Joanne, ARUTW, MR, Is That Alright?, etc. And I'm surely forgetting some but while I don't love them all equally, that's quite the portfolio of strong ballads imo.

I must've heard a lower quality snippet then, what you describe makes me even more excited (I don't  know how that's even possible). A combo of Celine and cinematic epicness I had picked up on but a dash of Prince - The Beautiful Ones, even - that's just heavenly! I adore Prince. Maybe her insta post around about 2023 about being inspired by him wasn't just referring to Killah... This sounds like a masterpiece!

It sounds great!! At first, I thought it was a bit meh, but after just a couple times I think it sounds reaaaally good, and her vocals are phenomenal
