Bronco 20,160
Honestly, the only way I'd enjoy a Gaga biopic is if it was done Rocketman style. Camp & dramatised for entertainment rather than a trauma p*rn fest. The gays know how to party

I mean The Lady and The Legend documentary is a masterpiece, flawless, and little to no noise was made around it See, that's what makes this business so vile in many cases, especially if it contains real people. You've actually seen The Lady and The Legend? I know it came out for a very short while on a South American Netflix and I'm dying to watch it but 1) I don't have access to any streaming services if they ever want to show it and 2) I haven't seen a copy floating around, ever. Lucky you! It must've been heavenly to see their relationship bloom, how their friendship was vital for both of them... I'm jealous but happy that someone who appreciates these things got to enjoy it Did they start filming relatively early in their friendship? Sorry, I'll stop with the questions but I'm so curious! I love to hear you call it a masterpiece - that means they honored the both of them like they should have. Edited 14 hours ago by Apec

They took his once relationship/lasting friendship with Mary Austin and acted like that was that! No Paul, no Jim Hutton... That was pure straightwashing and a vile move I was too naive to expect (I mean, how do you do that with Freddy Mercury of all people). His distant but still unconditionally loving relationship with his parents regarding his flamboyant stage "persona" was butchered as well. Then, right after Live Aid he tells the gang he has AIDS. In fact, there are so many mistakes, altering of dates and made up events it's not in the least bit a biopic, even though those regularly twist events. But the queer erasure made me want to play "I Want To Break Free" (I know John Deacon wrote it) 50 times in a row and erase this abomination of a movie from my brain. I have a sneaking suspicion they wanted that PG-13 rating and LGBTQ kissing or implied gay s*x would still automatically push it to R, STILL. And his bandmates signed off on it. Yuck. Sorry for being off-off-topic there but had to get that off of my chest.

The movie is divided into The Lady is a Tramp recording sessions, then the C2C sessions, then L4S, and it ends with their last show together, One Last Time: An Evening With Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga (which I'm gonna try to watch on paramount+ because it's not available anywhere). So it really is a beautiful film, and a truly good documentary, all things considered I don't believe in the glorification of murder, I do believe in the empowerment of women

As a concept, that sounds really cool. Whimsical bitch

I had no idea they were already filming behind the scenes during The Lady is a Tramp (I get emotional thinking of their journey to come). Thank you, I'd LOVE to watch it. Do these two Champs provide commentary or is it mainly footage? Sorry for another question, I am so looking forward to whenever I'll ever get to see it. I found a good version of Gaga's solo act (not Tony's, nor them singing together) from One Last Time on YT of all places but it's been deleted. Thanks for the info, you're amazing, truly.
Shadownight 255
The early fame days. When she made a Gaga vision in Germany I believe? When she was in her hotel room and points the camera to a horse statue and says "Im gonna hang out with that horse later ". I always wanted to see her hanging around the horse.
