not you justifying these prices.  the renaissance and cowboy carter deluxe vinyls both include a full-fledged book and some posters, as well as printed vinyl sleeves, and their rrp is £50. this has a couple of printed coupons and a pvc sleeve that will damage your vinyl, and uses that to justify a £40 price hike.

Oh I'm not justifying it.

I'm a vinyl collector and I hate it.

It's record store day this weekend and the ones I want will cost me a total of £250.

I got the same number of LPs on my first RSD in 2022 for £110.

Its just the reality of the vinyl market now. The Taylor Swift album pandemic has increased the RRPs by almost 200%. 

Like some editions of Brat were £65 for a 2LP edition with no exclusives. The market is terrible for collectors now.

The preview has me hopeful. More hopeful than I've been in years for Madonna.

The vibe seems like Madge & Stuart went back to the oldschool writing style of just hiding away and working 1 on 1 together. Her last few albums were all "writing camp" style productions which definitely doesn't suit her.

I don’t think it can be worse than MDNA and that had William Orbit on it.  But yeah I’m also a little bit scared, especially because of the sequel album that this is.

it really does suck. but also it depends on the artist and release - some artists have pretty decent vinyl prices. taylor swift historically tends to have pretty good value for money with her vinyls actually. The TTPD vinyls were slightly more expensive than the folklore ones, but with a lot more content. I think Lana Del Rey's vinyls are also pretty ok price wise usually. Mayhem was on the pricier side... But confessions ii is a joke. Especially with the fee to be able to return the album ... Like wth Madonna, you have enough money already.
