Economy 52,895 Posted April 3 Share Posted April 3 (edited) I find it fascinating how with cloud cover + earth curve + any combination of random angles it can be hard to tell what part of Earth your looking at. Is that Australia? We always look at Earth with the same map format. Starting from North America at the top left and then so on. Throw in a different angle, starting point and some clouds for good measure and you get lost. Makes me realize I dont know Earths geography as well as I might have thought I did. Unfortunately I grew up on the space coast, I watched this thing launch from my front yard I remember as a kid we had a field trip to the Kennedy Space Center and the class did a mock space shuttle launch where all the kids were assigned jobs in the control room and I was the communications officer and I got to geek out as I talked to "the media" about the process Met some astronauts that were like "woah this kid knows more than I do!" which, definitely a lie to make a little kid feel special, but man The space program keeps me in my feels it's the only thing I'll miss when I leave this state tbh Whimsical bitch 1 4 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
