TEOG was genuinely the first time I was deeply disapointed in a Gaga video

 

PI was different from her past work but it has energy and it works for a pop-rock kinda vibe (not my fav but its ok)

 

Joanne works for simple emotion ballad. A little boring and not my fav either but its passable given what its for

 

DWAS and Eh Eh are not by any means top videos but I have no issue with them either. They work decently for the song they match with

 

Million Reasons tho, I cant think of anything good to say about it. I think it was a product of Gagas image repair efforts at the time "look, i can look normal and do plain videos too and not be extreme" which in case we all forgot, got her some positive attention at the time she needed because her not doing something so out there was totally new and fresh at the time. Probably why the Sound of Music tribute 1-2 years earlier got SO MUCH attention as well. But its such boring and plain music video to look at now

Yeah, that’s the thing: as much as I may take issue with some of her other vids (SL and GUY in particular), MR takes the cake because it commits the cardinal sin of being boring.

Joanne?? I'm shocked, I didn't even know there was a MV for this song lol. But tbh, MR is not that bad, just not her greatest. I like that it's a sequel to PI's ending.

I hate the song Eh Eh so much I voted for it. 
 

on another note, I love the simplicity of TEOG in an era where all her other vids were ott. I like the ott ones too just to be clear.

I don’t know who from her team saw it and went “oh this is a good one, let’s put it out!”

It looks like a middle school project made in two hours but it has the embarrassing moments as a bonus as if it wasn’t bad enough already. “Graphic design is my passion” but make it a video.

edit: AND the fact that we had to wait two fvcking months to get the video makes it even worse. And she said we would have a surprise in the video — the surprise being that there’s unused shots from the Perfect Illusion video in there

Million Reasons or Joanne have to be my least favorites but don't want to call them their "worst". I simply do not love these as much as the others. Die With A Smile, Perfect Illusion and The Edge of Glory should not be there at all.

It’s now clear that her output reflects her state of mind. She didn’t want to be Lady Gaga during Joanne, and it shows. It by no means is a project without value, but it wasn’t done by a person who had the capacity to keep up with her own standards.

But apart of that, the immature "directing" of Gaga is so noticeable, there are so many mistakes in the video that my ADHD can't handle, it's like I'm malfunctioning.

 And the whole Ghandi, MJ, Jesus cloning was so tasteless lol

The video is nice in the intro part and in the bathhouse, but anything else is horrendous.
