In Valea Seacă, Iași County, a local man discovered a large 2×2-meter drone stuck in a tree while marking his property. Army, police, firefighters, and intelligence teams secured the site and removed the device. Officials confirmed it posed no danger, and it was taken for further investigation to identify its owner. Meanwhile, following new Russian attacks in Ukraine near the Romanian border, another drone entered Romanian airspace and crashed about 2 km from the village of Parcheș in Tulcea County, outside populated areas. Emergency alerts were issued, F-16 jets monitored the skies, and debris with minor burning was secured. No casualties or damage were reported, and authorities are investigating the incident. I live in Poland, 30 minutes from Ukrainian border and the first couple of months after the start of the invasion was extremely concerning, it felt like we were in a buffer zone where anything could happen (even though the war is mostly on the east of Ukraine). A bunch of Russian drones have violated our airspace last year, but apparently it was just a provocation, they weren't even equipped with bombs. We still have aircraft monitoring our air-space on a daily basis, which is something I got used to. We live in an era of completely new war tactiques, so it all seems very unpredictable. Still, I don't think anyone will touch any NATO country on a bigger scale.
