I haven't decided. HP used to be really important to me, it was my first online fandom, but I've had nothing to do with it for so long now. I don't think I even care.

If I do watch the show I'll certainly pirate it so my streaming numbers don't count

I won't, the magic, the innocence and the beauty of HP world died with JK transphobia.. and it's simply tragic..

I wish we could back and do things differently though, to have a dialogue with her before she went extreme, I think the whole cancellation only messed her up and made her so so obsessed and so hateful, that right now it's really a lose cause, it's her mission to harm trans people at all cause..

maybe this whole thing is also something that we should learn from though, first a dialogue, to listen, to educate, then when we exhausted everything.. to cancel.

Honestly I grew bored of HP as a kid. I was an avid reader and realised JK was neither unique or particularly talented compared to others. 

And her lazy writting always made me a little iffy even before she came out as a bigot.

I mean a protestant scot naming her only irish character a stereotypical irish catholic name and the running joke being he blows stuff up...

So its a pretty easy skip for me tbh.

I used to be a big Potterhead when I was younger. I never cared for the idea of retelling the same story, but I have to admit, the trailer was pretty good. If I’m watching it, I’ll certainly pirate it, but I’m not planning to right now.

It's such a weird situation, harry Potter was such a major part of my childhood, only to learn that witch was evil, to say nicely. I did buy Hogwarts legacy, the game because it seems the devs were good ppl and it does have a trans person. I think she was well made too.  Edit: (I just realized how this sounds)

I am not here for a TV reboot, the movies were made, we all have images how they all look like now, and anything else will be a flop imo. And there's no reason to re-tell those movies. Sure, they could explore more on the stuff that didn't make from books to the movies. But. Generally. F the C (The one who shall not be named, without cencor)
