It might be an unpopular opinion here but I don’t even mind if he takes the blame, even if Chappell herself went on that table and told the girl to behave herself, I would still support her… would it be that terrible? She didn’t harm or kill anyone

I really dislike this narrative artists should accept all kinds of abusive behavior otherwise they’re being rude or disrespectful 

I’m glad the security guard spoke up but this whole situation blew up out of proportion and I don’t how she’s being treated by the media and it’s probably because she’s queer and she’s been supportive of many lgbtq+ institutions

Yeah it's terrible. The little girl didn't even misbehave, she just passed by her table and smiled. I would be displeased even if Lady Gaga did it to me or my child. I don't think Chappell herself is wrong here, it's the bodyguard's fault, but if she herself did that then it's something else.

I mean, in all fairness, his story does account for that by saying that he basically knew she didn’t like being accosted based on her reputation and took it upon himself to correct a non-issue, I guess.
