For the life of me I can't understand why we are still stuck on this days and days later with everything going on at the moment. I don't even get why this has lasted for more than an evening. Even IF it was her security and she did tell him to do it.

While I'm glad he's taking real accountability, this still isn't making total sense. He doesn't work for Chappell but he went to the wall for her over something totally banal? He did what he did based on information he obtained from the hotel - what info's that and considering he acted immediately after this girl smiled at her, how is that enough time to obtain any wider information? What were these "events in the days prior" he claims led to this? The vagueness and odd wording there still seems highly suspicious. Was he paid by Chappell's team to take the fall to take the heat off her? That could be why he's being so vague and general with no specific info as that could be fact-checked and could be exposed as being made up. I'm still saying I smell a rat.
