Mason 269
I genuinely wish that they would stop the live action remakes I haven't watched one since Beauty and the Beast. They all look bad and they are completely unnecessary to me
Sepsami 20,401
Genuine question Who the hell is asking for this Disney live action is quite bad most of the time, I don't understand why they keep doing it

Remakes revive toy sales, streaming views, theme park tie-ins, etc. - Trademarks (like logos, character branding) can weaken if not actively used. And remakes is actively used to circumvent this issue. - Low risk financial strategy. A familiar story like The Lion King or Aladdin already has global recognition. A remake is a lower-risk way to generate billions again. Plus, kids today didn’t grow up with the older animation styles. A live-action version reintroduces the story to them. And their parents who grew up with the animated version can enjoy weekend family time by bringing their kids to see it at the movie theater. It still make a lot of money though, (cos at the core it's still good), but nobody want a slightly realistic story when you do remake on franchise like this, fans will expect the same story that they even know every single dialogue of. Frankly, Disney can't win either way than doing their own thing. I thought that might be the case but lilo & stitch has a 91% on rotten tomatoes for audience score and it made over a billion so I feel like that's not really a good example of the point. But yeah. People will hate anything. Which is why I think just go for a bigger swing. It doesn't matter because it's not like Disney is gonna listen to me tho Call your therapist...it's Petie Estie
