This was indeed a bad move. The whole point of releasing a new song every week is that it increases hype and makes people more likely to listen to every song on the album. After all, any artists streams per song on an album shows that not even all fans will listen to all songs. Why can't she release every song and then see how many can be hits? Wasn't that the whole point of releasing a song every week? She'll never know if she's sitting on a hit if she doesn't release it now. This was her chance to literally throw everything at the wall and see what sticks. To quit the rollout plan on single 3 of 13 is crazy work. If you have a vision, see it through to the end. Now she's independent, she can't even say that her label forced her to focus on the one song. Why can't she have 2 hits at once? Plenty of artists do. If she truly wants success, she needs to stop annoying the few loyal fans she has as she's never had much of a core fanbase.
