Isn't the whole pre chorus section supposed to represent her mind becoming more and more anxious, but she then takes the pill which slowly brings her back into the calmer state again? That's always been my interpretation of the lyric and even the beat.

I agree but I still think the chorus could've used some more intricate writing. I feel like she leaned in on the "keep repeating self-hating phrases", by doing exactly that as a main hook. But rhyming 'me' with 'me' and 'one' with 'one' a bunch of times is a little lackluster compared to the beautiful poetry that came before it.

Don't get me wrong, I still love the track a LOT, but I have some nitpicks.

I like both of them almost equally and they both stand out from the rest of the album sonically. I chose 911 because I listen to it more often these days, especially the Charlie xcx remix.

The whole mystical and mysterious thing in Frozen, to me ARTPOP gives the same similar vibe in the song.. when I first heard ARTPOP, I immediatly thought about Frozen.

also 911 following the same structure of Hollywood... even the outro is kind of the same "please patch the line need a nein one one please patch the line" = "push the button don't push the button trip the station, change the channel"

Madeon led production lol, but also i think the chorus is meant to be pretty flat bc the antipsychotics stabilize you. so the idea is the verses she's getting manic manic manic then pops her 911 and levels out but also is flattened.

I am super surprised that ARTPOP isn't winning in a landslide here, 911 isn't even top 4 on chromatica.
