Elohim 1,895
I had cats since I was like 7? And atm I have 2 dogs and a cat I adopted, can’t deny I don’t like my cat that much, the only opinion I have about her is that she “exists” Honestly I get why people like them, and I do appreciate their beauty, but unlike dog that are much more predictable, most of cats are just not friendly and pretty independent. Okay I'll say this I get what you said earlier about some cat people superiority complex and I don't hate dogs at all tho stray dogs scare the living **** out of me but it's infinitely annoying to read the same generalized nonsense argument that cats scratch and are bitchy and you just look to your right and your cat is chasing a napkin on the floor and you just want to raise hell to defend this tiny living carpet From what I gather dog people generally lean more to depending on dogs as friends hence the man's bestfriend moniker while for the most part cat people have deeply psychotic but chill parent-child relationships with their cats (not saying some dog people are not unhinged cuz some really are) either way when you hear the same generalized statements all the time you have to defend the nuances that the other side is impervious to So basically what I'm getting at is this cat people just want to enjoy thier lives and only act superior or obnoxious when provoked which is ALL the time due to this dog loving agenda reinforcing hallow statements and infuriating remarks so infact, no the cat vs dog wars were started by dog people.

I hate to say it, but dog people 100% do not think about cat people until cat people start pulling their morally superior BS. How you feel about dog people is, ironically, exactly how I feel about cat people lmao. I see far more unsolicited dog hate from cat people online than the other way around and I honestly wouldn’t have **** to say about cats or cat people if I didn’t feel like I was constantly seeing cat people defining their love of cats in opposition to dogs. Doechii’s comment here is literally one of the only high profile examples I can think of that’s the other way around. Doechii’s comment here is literally one of the only high profile examples I can think of that’s the other way around. That's wildly incorrect though, the first thing that's brought up when you tell someone who neither has cats or dogs that you have a cat they go on about how cats are obnoxious and good for nothing or whatever only for it take a turn not long after to praising dogs and how it would be better to 'own' a dog mind you, they themselves don't have any ****ln pets. The general idea is that dogs are better pets, and i don't even think cats are better pets necessarily, it's just different strokes for different folks kindof thing but the whole thing eventually gets trickled down to cats are bad which gets cat people blood boiling Anyhow can we agree that lizards and snake people give good dlck? And them being extremely weird and hot Edited 6 hours ago by onionring
