Taumaturg0 1,253
I listened to the vinyl the other day. Still mad we didn't get a visual album, the storyline is so clear in the tracklist, an animated short film would've slayed. That being said, I agree that the production is one of it's weak points. Battle 4 Ur Life 6,772
Chromatica spanks! It fit the pandemic like a glove. Rain on Me smashed, 911 had us all gagged and I remember watching it in my car during lunch break. Sour Candy was the moment also. Replay at CBT was a religious experience. and I still LOVE Stupid Love even tho the video was a bit of a miss. there are a couple chops in the album and it could have been a bit less Bloodpoppy and a little more Boyz Noisy but the interludes make everything sound cohesive and cinematic. in a way that it did create it’s own universe and dimension. it’s not the most complex and original concept but I can’t take the negativity around Chromatica seriously because it’s not meant to be that serious, most of the album is about vulnerability imo. her best album cover after TFM, might be better than BTW cover but I say it’s a tie. LOVE HA Edited February 13 by Battle 4 Ur Life ”Why’d ya come around me with an ass like that?”
AVeryGagaHolyDick 30,740
I prefer it to most albums ever created for sure, but for a Gaga album… nope. I don’t really like the sound, the lyrics or the visuals. Actually I think many lyrics are terrible… I did love the tour though (and NOT the movie ) Edited February 13 by AVeryGagaHolyDick
Grissem 82
I am so sentimental about that era, it followed me through my PhD and obviously the pandemic, quite the crazy time in my life. Still remember buying Tickets to the Chromatica Ball literally days before the world shut down and then waiting over two years for the shows. When the show started and I got to experience Chromatica live... I cannot even put into words how overwhelmed and joyful I felt.
southpaw773 4,249
I listened to it so much during covid and then again ahead of LG7 I have been fasting from it so I can revisit again fresh. If it weren’t for streaming I would have worn the physical media out. I might need a hero to save me from breaking
TimotheeChalamet 6,794
It features one of my favorite Gaga songs ever, so I really like it! I don't think it's perfect but it's definitely much stronger than people make it out to be
Gardevoir 9,965
I always know it’s created by you, when I see a thread. Not that it’s a bad thing, haha. I also enjoy Chromatica very much. And also love Free Woman. Edited February 13 by Gardevoir Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

Quartz 12,728
Like it better than Mayhem. Visuals and concept criminally underutilized. Love this album. Some songs made me cry a ton. Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊

Idefix1999 364
This album could really have been a visual experience. The Trifold vinyl was the first vinyl I ever bought because I wanted to have the cover in big format and I wanted to have the fanzine with the map of Chromatica. We could have experienced more music videos exploring this world. It seems like there was a plan to do so as there is a detailed map with descriptions of various places. We never really got to know what the symbols (that us fans later called tribes) meant and if we would have seen more about this. In my alternative Gaga timeline Chromatica is a visual album. GagaddictXO 0
I love Chromatica! From the day the lead single was leaked from her Vegas residency upto official release. I was obsessed. The album roll out and the era promised to be huge! From the planetary aesthetic and dance pop production. I know Chromatica will be huge like her previous album roll out simillar to ARTPOP. Then COVID struck, everything change. I was not keen to huge changes personally and it hit me in way that it was so hard to carry mentally. I was not well during those time and alot of chaos within my household. Lady Gaga delayed her album roll out and it kinda hurts me in a way because I was so excited about it too. But during those delays I heard alot of great news about the album and the collabs it have. Even Chromatica's album roll out shifted it still blew my mind when the Album finally released. (I even grabbed a copy of the photo album version). It was all I wanted all along! She helped me alot during lockdowns. I never knew that I can relate to an album from such a personal perspective while I dance and 'Battle for your life' like she did. That is why this album is so special to me beacuse up until now I still listen to it from start to finish. It helped me get through such hard times in my reality. It gave me strength to battle for my life and fight for my own dancefloor! Apologies for the long reply, Chromatica is such my perosnal favourite. I am just sadden to see that hating Chromatica is now normalized within the fandom. I understand it's flaws and shortcommings because most of them are right. But that dosent deny the fact that some people resonated to this album from a personal level like me and loved the album for that reason. In Chromatica the Journey always continues...!
