Taumaturg0 1,173
I listened to the vinyl the other day. Still mad we didn't get a visual album, the storyline is so clear in the tracklist, an animated short film would've slayed. That being said, I agree that the production is one of it's weak points. Battle 4 Ur Life 6,753
Chromatica spanks! It fit the pandemic like a glove. Rain on Me smashed, 911 had us all gagged and I remember watching it in my car during lunch break. Sour Candy was the moment also. Replay at CBT was a religious experience. and I still LOVE Stupid Love even tho the video was a bit of a miss. there are a couple chops in the album and it could have been a bit less Bloodpoppy and a little more Boyz Noisy but the interludes make everything sound cohesive and cinematic. in a way that it did create it’s own universe and dimension. it’s not the most complex and original concept but I can’t take the negativity around Chromatica seriously because it’s not meant to be that serious, most of the album is about vulnerability imo. her best album cover after TFM, might be better than BTW cover but I say it’s a tie. LOVE HA Edited February 13 by Battle 4 Ur Life ”Why’d ya come around me with an ass like that?”
AVeryGagaHolyDick 29,060
I prefer it to most albums ever created for sure, but for a Gaga album… nope. I don’t really like the sound, the lyrics or the visuals. Actually I think many lyrics are terrible… I did love the tour though (and NOT the movie ) Edited February 13 by AVeryGagaHolyDick
Grissem 80
I am so sentimental about that era, it followed me through my PhD and obviously the pandemic, quite the crazy time in my life. Still remember buying Tickets to the Chromatica Ball literally days before the world shut down and then waiting over two years for the shows. When the show started and I got to experience Chromatica live... I cannot even put into words how overwhelmed and joyful I felt.
southpaw773 4,082
I listened to it so much during covid and then again ahead of LG7 I have been fasting from it so I can revisit again fresh. If it weren’t for streaming I would have worn the physical media out. I switched baristas
TimotheeChalamet 6,598
It features one of my favorite Gaga songs ever, so I really like it! I don't think it's perfect but it's definitely much stronger than people make it out to be
Gardevoir 9,948
I always know it’s created by you, when I see a thread. Not that it’s a bad thing, haha. I also enjoy Chromatica very much. And also love Free Woman. Edited February 13 by Gardevoir Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

Quartz 12,668
Like it better than Mayhem. Visuals and concept criminally underutilized. Love this album. Some songs made me cry a ton. Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊

Idefix1999 280
This album could really have been a visual experience. The Trifold vinyl was the first vinyl I ever bought because I wanted to have the cover in big format and I wanted to have the fanzine with the map of Chromatica. We could have experienced more music videos exploring this world. It seems like there was a plan to do so as there is a detailed map with descriptions of various places. We never really got to know what the symbols (that us fans later called tribes) meant and if we would have seen more about this. In my alternative Gaga timeline Chromatica is a visual album.
