A reminder of what's at stake with a bill like this:

Republicans have been """joking""" about repealing the 19th amendment (the one that gave women the right to vote).

Well, 69 million married women in the US who changed their name after marriage DO NOT have a birth certificate with their married name on it.

This law would allow election officials to dispose of those votes and deem them "illegitimate". Of course, they'd pick and choose when to enforce that new law.
