Jokes aside I find it a bit sad how because of certain social narratives we have to pretend latin and spanish culture have to be separated when we in fact share so many things. Anyways. Long live latin artists

Perhaps if you hadn't started the conversation by making fun of me or trying to be funny, we wouldn't have argued 😊

I thought it was cute, a bit out of place but cute. I get why she did DWAS but I would've gagged if she did Americano in similar style.

Americano… would have been divine and made sense :saladga:

The problem with that though is that the statement Bad Bunny was making is "love is stronger than hate, we're not going anywhere".

First, that's HIS statement to make as the headliner and the man of Puerto Rican blood. Gaga's there as a supporting artist, maybe even as a personal favor to her fan turned global star.

Second, Americano is a great song with a great message but it's tone is very...idk, aggressively defiant.

This halftime show was all about how Latin Americans ARE AMERICANS. America is a multicultural place and BB's show is about Latin and American pride.

And Americano is all about "I don't recognize America anymore, this isn't my America". Very negative.

The tones and messages conflict too harshly.
