DESTROY UR DISEASE 14,701
Hello dear citizens of GagaDaily! Recently we've discussed which songs from The Fame and The Fame Monster should've been released as singles. Today we are going to do the exact same thing, however we will focus on THE Gaga album, said by many (including me) to be their favorite from her entire discography and considered to be her magnum opus - Born This Way So... which non-single song from this immaculate album, in your opinion, deserved a single treatment the most? Spoiler Just in case anybody forgot - Bloody Mary was released as a single after it blew up thanks to that Wednesday edit I'm probably gonna go with... SCHEIßEEE and maybe also Hair What about you? I can smell your sickness I can...
calmar 22,646
Interesting to ask this question now after almost 15 years. Lots of people wanted Scheiße and Hair I remember, and I believe HML was floated as a possible sixth single due to Gaga performing it at the NYE concert in New York in 2011-2. I guess now we can say Bloody Mary because it took off a decade later; but if that doesn't count because it was a single eventually, we could go down the line and see that the highest-streamed non-single off BTW is Government Hooker. Sadly I think many of the fan fave songs were ones the label thought too risky for an artist in Gaga's position at the time. A song with German nonsense titled with a curse word... a song about JFK's affair with Marilyn... a song that starts with an oral s*x reference... her team probably thought (or knew?) her time as the top artist in the world wouldn't last forever and people would start getting overexposed to her, and didn't want an even wackier song. At the time I'd have loved Scheiße, HML or Government Hooker. But in hindsight maybe it's best we keep this gems to the fanbase; I remember people's reactions when Bloody Mary broke containment and some were bitter about it. TimotheeChalamet 6,504
Scheiße With part of the spoken intro cut for a radio edit I think people would have had a hard time pronouncing the title tho Edited 6 hours ago by TimotheeChalamet
gagacabana 418
I live in a world where all of the songs are singles I don't believe in the glorification of murder, I do believe in the empowerment of women
spookytanooki 1,262
Oh Scheiße, is Gaga gonna perform Americano at the Super Bowl? if you don't have something nice to say, be mean
Stefanotta 1,445
I would say HML immediately, but I find Hair most radio-friendly off the list My biggest enemy is me.

Anderson123 40,510
Imagine a world where Dance In The Dark, Scheiße and Vanish Into You were all singles with music videos. And Sour Candy because I know that’d had a fun music video. 1 1
AVeryGagaHolyDick 28,419
Americano cause it’s the song I’ve heard the most (it’s the only one actually) outside of the fan base + because of the movie exposure.

TEANUS 15,914
Scheiße should’ve been a double a-side single with Yoü and I. Y&I pushed more heavily in North America and Australia and Scheiße elsewhere in the world - probably would’ve been an Alejandro sized hit at the least in Europe Edited 4 hours ago by TEANUS British social ladies with upturned pinkies, glasses clinking // xoxoTEANUS
gagzus 17,498
Scheiße would’ve absolutely disappointed because I can’t see the majority of Europe playing the song at all on the title alone. She would’ve had to change the title. The only songs left I could’ve seen doing something were Hair and Fashion of His Love. But I know for a fact she’d have been dragged to hell with Whitney rip off accusations after the Madonna ones. Hair absolutely could’ve been a great proper single though with like a great futuristic music video. Heavy Metal Lover I remember was gonna actually be a single and they tested it at NYRE to see if it made any noise on its own. Obviously it didnt so then nothing. She also made a music video for Scheiße on the set of the FAME commercial but that never got finished or saw the light of day.
