I’ve been following the Blake Lively lawsuit and the texts came out due to the suit. The texts are very cringe.

There’s a batch of texts where Blake is asking Taylor to read a bunch of script re-writes that she did and she goes on to tell Taylor that she doesn’t actually have to read them but to praise her work and make out like she knows what she’s doing. Taylor goes along with it and showers Blake with accolades when they all meet up with the director.

Taylor wants to be excluded from the drama but in later texts she admits to lying by making up stuff about Blake knowing all these techniques for filmmaking during the meeting with the director. 
 

Blake had previously referred to Taylor as one of her dragons in that cringey Game of Thrones reference. 

It all seems like small potatoes until it’s pulled into a sexual harassment lawsuit.

She's like the epitome of mean, entitled, popular girl at school that always gets her way and cries when she finally doesn't. Except x1000 and on a world stage with a billion dollars

I don't know exactly, but I know you can see data from Google and other companies about how frequently someone is searched. Anything to do with her music, her name, etc will show up, and how frequently they are searched. Also obviously streams and album sales etc. I guess you could also argue, what time frame is the current data being compared to? Because if they're comparing her current 'popularity' to her album release week, of course her 'popularity' is going to drop between then and now

Still, if she's allegedly struggling right now then that proves it's true, because she is one to have her team tracking that data constantly so she would know without a doubt where her 'popularity' sits

Yeah she will, I mean she was smart to re-release all her old popular albums because it prolonged the life of her music career ten fold, it’s the reason most of her fans are young people despite the fact she has been around longer than Gaga and almost as long as Beyoncé has been solo. Because to them it was new music when it got re-released. 
 

Perhaps if Gaga did the same her popularity would’ve sky rocketed tbh.

Probably based on searches, polls of public opinion, comparing her streams and sales year on year there’s actually plenty of ways you can measure popularity. There’s a reason we know Gaga’s popularity peaked in 2011, specifically February 2011.

It just shows how it's possible to have the biggest tour in the world but not have a huge impact in other ways. For what its worth, Coldplay always sell out stadiums even though they haven't had a major worldwide hit in years and their albums don't sell amazingly. Ed Sheeran's the same right now too. Exposing texts aside, Taylor's maybe reached that point where she'll struggle to make the sales she once did but she'll effortlessly sell out tours. This is the second album in a row for which she only seems to have 2 singles in mind even though she could easily crank out 5. It's like she knows only her fans care about her singles and they've bought the album multiple times and stream it all the time endlessly so official singles don't make a blind bit of difference. Taylor's market has never really been the GP. It's rare to see someone have this level of success on purely fans alone but she does it. But clearly, she's feeling the effects of overexposure at long last and is suffering some side eye after being shown up to be a secret mean girl. But she weathers every storm so I'm not counting her out just yet.
