The most underrated album from Kylie Minogue

You know what? I kinda agree. A lot of people are probably just turned off by the country vibes on it, but it's still a very solid album imo and I love it. Take this entire album but make it pop instead of country and people will eat it up.

I'd agree on Golden, it has some of her best writting and the music has some soul, like its probs one of my fave projects from her. In the same vein, I'd say that Impossible princess doesn't get nearly as much love as it should get! Also Kiss me once, I don't get why so many hate it :ladyhaha:

I'd say amongst fan forums of Kylie its not that underrated.

I'd argue Kiss Me Once is underrated as even a lot of fans ignore it.

Can I add Enjoy Yourself to that list? Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who listens to that album :ladyhaha:

By the GP for sure but I think her fans love it a lot no? So much that she even hinted at making a similar album after Tension II (but I doubt it's going to happen, knowing what she said about making the album and its reception back then)

Don't know, as a die-hard fan I think this album is extremely generic and basic. I think Kylie was barely involved with its creation and imo she just quickly recorded an album to end her contract and change label and management asap

I feel like the early albums are super ignored even though the singles are adored

There's absolutely some crap on it, but there's some really fun typical Kylie camp like Les Sex, Mr President, Sexercise. And some great pop tracks like Into the Blue, Sparks & Sleeping with the Enemy.

It wasn't a contract ender album, it was her first album of a new label that sadly failed her and really ****ed her over (contract issues are allegedly why she never performs Into the Blue as an actual setlist song).

Like the KMO era was a mess, but the tour was great and we got the Kylie + Garibay/Sleeperwalker eps and Crystalise as part of it. Plus that gorgeous INXS cover.

I remember when she said she was going to include her experimental 90s stuff as part of the tour and all we got was Confide in Me 😭

This was the album that got me into Kylie! I do think this album is under appreciated since it was a departure from the usual pop sound she became so popular with. But I think it's cool that she experimented with country-pop! Songs like Dancing, Stop Me from Falling, A Lifetime to Repair, Sincerely Yours, Live a Little, and Music's Too Sad Without You are definitely in my list of some of my all-time favorite Kylie songs.

I love this one. I was scared when she announced she was going country but it was HER way of doing country and I enjoy it. Kylie has experimented with so many different genres and I like that.

I actually agree with this. I love that album. I also think Kiss Me Once is very underrated as well - also a great album. Golden is one of my all time fav Kylie albums.
