As long as he didn't aim at them or physically impede an investigation, they had no right to even make contact with him. If he was even armed, that is. Vermont is an exception because the whole state has a population less than that of the Omaha, Nebraska metropolitan area. And even Bernie hasn't passed much legislation in his decades in office besides renaming post offices. Centrist democrats are where change and movement happens. They are the reason that the must-pass Apropriations bills this year, that contained the most anti-Trans riders (a rider is an unrelated provision tacked onto a bill) in history ended up having ZERO anti-Trans riders in the bills.
