NUTELLA 15,983
-Perfect Illusion key change sucks -I have not listened to the album (in full) since 2017. -This was her first album I didn't purchase. -I don’t even really consider it an LG album. To me, it’s more of a side project by Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta. -The mid-to-late 2010’s were the bleakest time in the Gagaverse & this was the lowest point. edit- none of those were unpopular lol Spoiler Edited Saturday at 09:56 AM by NUTELLA 6 1
dynamite 62,303
I have no idea what people's opinions are so I'm just guessing: Just Another Day is overrated even if it's not highly rated Hey Girl is lame, a duet with Florence Welch should have been way more creative than that The tour was amazing Grigio Girls is really nice Perfect Illusion video is great Joanne Piano Version is beautiful but sooo sloooow Like a poem said by a neydy in red

Lee 73
Though i enjoy the album, its not her “most personal” album that it was marketed at: the demos of perfect illusion (kevin parker) and come to mama (father john misty) and million reasons (hillary lindsey) show she didn’t have much writing credits on the songs as they were pretty well formed by other people with Gaga just adding her spin to it. And thematically Ayo, Hey Girl, Angel Down, John Wayne, and Dancing in circles have nothing to do”personal” to her or her family. It feels more like a fake vaneer of authenticity without it actually happening like we learn nothing about Gaga as a person or family member which obviously we dont have to in music but it was marketed as (theyre all bops though). Id argue Chromatica is much more personal thematically and lyrically than Joanne ever was 6
RochesterJoannster 3,628
It’s in her top three albums with Mayhem and Born This Way It has no skips The era was by far the best of the three “pink” eras (I bet that’s a less unpopular one). 1 2

princedeeblebleble 2,352
I'd say its the least Gaga album, I feel like she wanted to pull the Bedtime stories trick with softening her image, but she could have made the music good at least. Like yea she gained some credibility if you combine the Jazz and ASIB soundtrack, but honestly all 3 projects lack the Gagaism of why I'm into her. Joanne, Just another day, Come to Mama and Angel down are the best tracks. The vocals for most the album were kinda too forced, like they didn't care if it sounded good as long as she "proved" she was a powerhouse vocalist 1 1
Flippy 13,392
Just Another Day is easily one of the best songs on the album Angel Down is overrated, though it has a beautiful message It was cute, but nothing iconic/memorable TMBT 3.22.11 // TBTWB 1.17.13 // ArtRAVE 6.3.14 // C2CT 5.28.15 // TJWT 8.13.17 // CWT 9.8.22 // TMB 7.22.25 & 7.24.25

Poltergeist 3,772
When I hear Come To Mama, I instantly imagine an instant noodles ad, that song would fit it so much I've been getting messages from my deep waters 3 1

Sneaky Oliver 22,535
The second half of the album should sound more like Diamond Heart and Perfect Illusion She should have gone fully experimental in another track with Kevin Parker I love Just Another Day, it’s such a throwback to her sound back when she was performing as Stefani, I really wish she would’ve explored more of that (like No Floods) Hey Girl is NOT a bad song and it didn’t deserve the hate it received, but I agree it was underwhelming for a Florence collab, they should have done a rock-ish song I really don’t like Come To Mama, it’s not even that bad but such a waste, I wish she could’ve collaborated with FJM in a song like Let The Light In (it was a good opportunity to include a little more country sound) Beck should be featured on Dancing In Circles or another track, I mean if you can bring Beck to the studio, put him on a goddamn track!!! Maybe if the song was about something else idk Sinners Prayer should sound exactly how she performed it on the dive bar tour Edited Saturday at 10:41 AM by Sneaky Oliver
Omegahedron 240
Nothing will change my mind that Perfect Illusion is a Tame Impala song (about coming down from a high and realising you aren't in love with someone - "I still feel the blow, but at least now I know") forcibly repackaged as a Gaga song with a really unconvincing meaning (it's all about social media?!), and that it was a terrible mistake to make that the lead single. Hey Girl is a beautiful song and gets far too much hate from the fan base. Ayo makes me cringe a bit. Angel Down is very dreary and worthy. Sinner's Prayer sneaks under the radar as one of the best songs on the album. Grigio Girls used to grate on me but I think I have grown to really love it.
