bowlsofbrett 560
I’m gonna be in the minority here but for me, it’s “Live To Tell”. At the time, everyone expected a banger and then she goes and releases (in my opinion) one of the greatest and most haunting ballads of all time. It ushered in of one her first bold new looks, a mature evolution in sound, and her distinct vocal makes it hard for anyone to be able to cover it and recapture that magic. 2 1

Live To Tell is a career highlight. Beautiful synth work, great lyrics, melody, message, and vocal performance. I love so many of Madonna’s ballads, tbh. It feels more like they just wanted a cheerleader type of song for the Superbowl thinking it'd be this huge hit. They should've just picked Girl Gone Wild but that album was just a mess. I thought Girl Gone Wild was the lead

MACATL 1,812
Frozen and Music should not be combined. Music gets my vote. Not Frozen, though I like it.

Admittedly I don't remember what most of those other songs sound like. If you are young i understand this. Im scared that with time some Gaga songs will be forgotten kindest regards

I'm 33. I'm not someone who grew up with pop music. I grew up with rock music and that's the kind of music I tended to gravitate towards. Gaga was actually the gateway artist (though I guess technically it was Lily Allen with Alright, Still) to pop music for me, and it was actually from her online presence - I discovered her from her Gagavisions and then followed her closely for her persona and live performances. I was never really fond of The Fame. I didn't listen to Madonna's discography until COVID. I actually posted threads here about it when I was exploring it. I recognize her as the legendary artist she is, but I only like three of her albums. I have no interest in her discography beyond that and I can't say I ever have had any desire to go to her music as something to listen to.
