Also, in my world, when New York songstress Lady Gaga's studio album, Mayhem, is played, KFL, CSTH and TDD simply are not there, and a finger tends to make contact with the off button as soon as BOG fades out. You won't even tack CSTH onto the end of the tracklist? That song is an album highlight, girl!

CSTH and KFL are top tier, imo. We have forgotten our public MANNERS

For me, Can’t Stop The High is maybe the sexiest song the album. The verses are rib-rattlers, & the song is rivaled only by Garden of Eden for best MAYHEM pre-chorus But I confess, I almost never listen to Kill For Love… Hype intro, adorable verses, pre-chorus gets me hyped again…...but then the chorus leaves me wanting. I like the brassy finale, though
DESTROY UR DISEASE 14,158
First of all: STAY AWAY FROM MY LOVEDRUG AND BLADE OF GRASS, if I hear one more negative thing about any of these two I'm gonna start a riot Second of all: people have been begging for DarkGa comeback for years. And so the moment we get the new album we recieve few typical darkpop Gaga tracks, then suddenly we switch to 80s and disco and then suddenly we go into Taylor-like type of sound lane (just to clarify - I'm not complaining about it, I'm just stating the facts). And then Don't Call Tonight falls somewhere between these last two. And that's definitely not the type of sound that ekhem some individuals asked for after all these years. Also it's not her strongest track overall that she's ever created. It's not like there's anything too crazy happening in the instrumental. Let's be real - the bridge saves it very much but that's it. It's a nice bop overall but unfortunately other songs on the album hit much harder and that's probably why. I can smell your sickness I can...
LUST FOR GAGA 54
its a fine song but it's total filler. doesn't really go anywhere and without the album would be fine. songs like Killah and The Beast might be less popular amongst fans but they are unique and actually add something memorable to the album

Omegahedron 243
Bottom Three for me is The Beast (seriously maybe listened to it three times since it came out), Don't Call Tonight (just feels a bit generic and calls back to the much superior Telephone) and Kill For Love (this one is a wrench as it's really not a bad song, but I had to pick three). The rest are 5 stars each for me.

I learned recently that people hear different things when they hear music. I'm very hooked by creative lyrics, my dad though literally doesn't even hear the words and only hears the beat. And the 'your love is my drug' thing is one of the most overdone, cliche tropes in all of music, so I just found it kinda boring. Her vocals are absolutely fire though and the instrumental is great too but... meh Anyway, I guess I'll be dancing in the flames tonight This is one reason why she's one of my favorite musicians tbh. Her lyrics are often pretty "meh" but most of her work tells the story through sound rather than words. One of my favorite examples of this is actually in DWUW. There's this tiny sound in the chorus that you can only really hear by dissecting the stems. It sounds so fragile and vulnerable despite it playing at the same time as her declaration of strength and identity. It's such a cool contrast and it's that contrast that tells the real story. She's strong but not invincible. The way LoveDrug just plugs along with that guitar and drum rhythm, a consistent and heavy heartbeat like an organic steam engine The vocoder effects too, like an artificial observer to the cycle of love and pain, some digital phantom belying the real desperation of her pleas And it's got the a mixture of Electric Chapel's drive and Perfect Illusion's grit Truly a song that makes you FEEL the weight of exhaustion, heartache, emotional strain, and hope in spite of it all Sometimes the best stories aren't in the words, they're in the worlds And LoveDrug paints this picture of a lonely, rainy night in some alternate dimension cyberpunk city block after a life changing event where the listener decides they've lost everything but f*ck it, we ball And you get all that without reading a single lyric 🥀 1 1
