she was heavily promoted at the beginning, but no label will do that indefinitely if the artist isn't turning a profit + now, playlisting and radio no longer have the same impact as a few years ago and it's much more important to self-promote your music and build a fanbase by using social media. Ava just drops music and disappears. instead of promoting her latest album as much as she could before its release, she disappeared for a few weeks and didn't even post the tracklist...

Not the whole truth, the Label made her go back to the Studio multiple times when the singles drop, once the slight underperformance happened, to the point where the Album that was being put out was not even half of the vision Ava had. Also, for Diamonds and Dancefloors the Budget was pulled after the Million Dollar Baby Music Video and when the Song had somewhat of a momentum, they delayed the Album again. This is not on her, she was working and performing for ages until her Label just didn't finance many of her opportunities anymore (...also not allowing her to tour, which she had to fight for.)

The album with “My Oh My“ and “Spot a Fake” was never fully finished and was scrapped after she left Scooter management, Atlantic changed its CEO and she signed with MDDN. D&D was delayed to press more vinyl variants to boost sales. She had a budget for another music video after Million Dollar Baby but decided to make visualizers, which were mostly scrapped because she didn't like how they turned out. They didn't ban her from touring, the original D&D tour was scrapped because she moved to Scooter management, Don't Click Play tour was canceled because she left MDDN management.

true, this time it feels like she's done with the era, I mean, she's working on her next album already. It's pretty obvious,

Strike a pose ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍💖

She’s got some bops but I don’t blame Atlantic.  She clearly has no original artistic vision outside of copying Gaga and Britney.  Sorry but it’s true :classy:

As far as throwaway pop songs go, Sweet But Psycho was a good one, but she has offered nothing better since. All her songs sound like a tryhard attempt of the same thing. And don't get me started on that tryhard haircut. :neyde:

This is what happens when you’re a fabricated artist. Like, her “piano” version of Naked should’ve been the dead giveaway that she’s NOT a real artist and more so a girl with a voice cosplaying as one. What a wasted talent! :saladga:

She became a meme in the pop sphere of being labeled a "sample artist"...most of the singles pushed were throw backs to OTHER artists hits...so why bother listening to her watered down rendition? It made zero sense to keep doing that and it ruined her own brand and image...

Ava Maxs main purpose (that her label failed to fully capitalize on) was giving LGBTQ+ pop stans (and some others) hope in the era of homophobic rappers like Quavo taking over. She did that. In 2018-2019 she was the symbol for a lot of people that dance pop was going to come back. Her label failed to capitalize on it with a poor second single choice and release strategy, and then not releasing the album Spring 2019 when she was at her peak. She had people again briefly with Kings & Queens due to its blatant recession pop sound, but that didn't last long. By the time of Diamonds and Dancefloors everything fell apart.

A lot of Little Monsters giving cycles of abuse by choosing to sound like Madonna stans in 2011-2013 didn't help either.

A good example of someone who does this yet makes it completely their own:
