JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes reveal engagement plans

JoJo Siwa and her boyfriend, Chris Hughes, hinted at potentially getting engaged ahead of their first Christmas together.

“You always get people [who] get engaged on Christmas or Christmas morning, I see on Instagram every year you’re going to see somebody who gets engaged,” Hughes told the Sun.  “I kinda like the idea of an engagement being at a time where it could be expected.”

“Alright,” Siwa responded. “Keep me guessing, aren’t ya?”  The 22-year-old dancer also admitted that she has considered purchasing a ring for Hughes, 32, and proposing to him.

However, the “Love Island” alum, 32, shared he felt “uncomfortable” by the idea. “I’ve spoke[n] to people about it, before you, obviously. And I actually said, I think if I was proposed to, that would make me really uncomfortable,” he told Siwa.

The only way the “J Team” star would pop the question is if Hughes didn’t ask her to marry him in seven years.

“I don’t feel like anyone should take seven years,” Hughes said. “It shouldn’t take seven years to work out if you want to marry someone, do you know what I mean?”

“So yeah, you can go off that and then that won’t ever happen,” the TV personality continued. Siwa then quipped that she would be “down on one knee” on May 27, 2032, if Hughes hadn’t popped the question.
