This was not a politically motivated stunt. Seattle planned to have a Pride theme for that specific match long before countries were placed into their groups because it syncs with their yearly Pride festivities.

Gay pride, black pride, trans pride, Latino pride, anything pride certainly have political movements behind them.  IMO, FIFA, the Olympics, etc. should be where we can, for a little while at least, set aside our different life perspectives / beliefs and come together to enjoy commonality as human beings and connect outside of those perceived barriers.   When we do that, that’s when magic can sometimes actually happen.
