His verse is good too, which worsens things, so an edited solo version just feels incomplete. If only she'd chosen a non-problematic feature, this song could've become a solid part of her discography, but as it is, we will never hear this song again. How I wish she'd chosen The Weeknd instead. And as much as I dislike 911 (I know, sacrilege for a lot of fans), I appreciate how real and honest the lyrics are and I think it produced a good music video. I like Angel Down as a concept, but I hate how it doesn’t feel quite finished or have Shallow hit-level quality, as it just feels like such a beautiful, important song for the world to know. I love Dance in the dark and monster, but I hate the missed opportunities for singles/music videos for both of these in an era where TFM album was shining so bright. I HATE Enigma… It’s the only song that I actually can not listen from start to finish, must less past the first 5 seconds of the song. When I hear “open minded..”, I skip immediately.
