Rob 184 Posted December 28, 2025 Share Posted December 28, 2025 THE FINALE WAS GOOD! definitely healed a small part of my inner child... you could definitely tell that they did not know if they were going to be renewed at the time though but i love that they just cut to the chase and gave them a "happy ending" and wrapped everything up nicely so to speak. i feel like it was a little rushed and could've been a few mins longer though. 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I do agree with you But I feel like the decision to explicitly not show the hotel sex scene in ep 5 after that very big emotional climax of Shane coming out and Ilya breaking down actually makes that moment in their journey more impactful. As for ep 6, I like that the focus became more about them finally being able to express emotional connection through domesticity. Like I loved the exploration of their very obvious natural dom/sub dynamic through the domesticity. Especially when Shane falls into submission mid panic attack at the cottage as a means of seeking grounding and reassurance while Ilya just naturally flows with it. The sex scenes have been great all season, but I kind of really loved them using more banal scenes in the final ep to expand their character development. I did notice a major decline in the s*x scenes. Which I’m not that mad about… so many people were like “wow this show is just prrn and has zero substance or story” and that turned out to be completely untrue. and I think the beginning of their relationship was obviously only about sex- that’s why the first two episodes were only about sex. But then their relationship progressed into something more passionate and meaningful and we definitely end up seeing less sex/hookup scenes and more emotional development story telling all that being said - I do think the sex was great in the first two episodes and I do wish a little bit more continued through the whole season. let’s hope season two will be a good mix of everything !
