Changed the title a bit since more than just Beyonce were mentioned and deservedly so.

Look, I love Gaga, but I keep looking at the new Miami date and there are nosebleed resales going for as much as my VIP ticket was at face value or MORE and that's just pure, disgusting, nasty greed and she 10000000% has the power to protect her fans from it. She clearly just doesn't care :ohwell: that one resale just after I bought my ticket...a floor seat for $65,000 :rip: how is that even allowed. If it was my name on the tour and someone pulled that with my tickets, I'd hire a hit squad tbh.

Wbk people like Taylor don't care, she bleeds her fans dry regularly.

And Beyoncé, for someone who's so outspoken on social issues, is beyond removed from reality.

None of them care.

Is Beyoncé outspoken…?

I wish it were that simple. But livenation/ticketmaster has a monopoly, so in the vast majority of cases they are unavoidable.

And given we have multiple examples of Livenation/ticketmaster actually respecting the wishes of artists wanting to turn off dynamic pricing and capping resale, we absolutely should be criticising artists who have not pushed for it.

Can you guys be more empathetic? They need more money to support their luxurious lives. I support Gaga ripping her fans off if that’s what it takes for her to thrive her lifestyle. I’m sorry I love seeing her happy in her expensive clothes.

Well. I spent much on my front row Mayhem Ball place and I don't regret any penny. It was worth it and I want Gaga to make quality shows mvs and music for us. Let her take the money, it's not happening every year. Ppl can save if they really want sth.

Good for you.

Not everyone is able to afford overpriced concert tickets even if they save money. If you think poor people are not entitled to a Gaga concert, that’s another story.

some of us did save but didn't expect the dramatic jump to £200+ for a basic ticket and you have to remember that's JUST the ticket, not the cost for a hotel and travel. she doesn't need to charge this much to make quality content...

CBT was around £80 so yes, she should be called out for not regulating this. it shut out a lot of genuine fans in favour of rich casual listeners so for you to say "let her take the money, just save up" is really rude

mother, what must i do?

I consider myself poor but once Mayhem was announced I cut all my leisure expenses to one party a month, less eating out etc just to see Gaga. I knew it was going to be expensive (resale was af) but I just needed for myself to have this once in a life experience. And I also bought my bf one ticket. I was monitoring Viagogo everyday and I spent 600$ for each ticket plus a trip to Spain. Next year I'm planning to travel other continents than Europe and I started saving right after Gaga's concert. I am not saying someone is entitled someone is not. I saw ppl on Instagram who went for 3+ dates and I wish I had these money but I didn't and will not in some time so I did what I needed to do to get these tickets. I am not saying the prices are right, I am just saying how I prioritized things to make one of my biggest dreams come true.

fyi, you're not poor and the fact you had leisure activities to cut out such as regular eating out is proof you are not poor

$1200 in tickets PLUS a trip to spain? and you have the audacity to consider yourself poor? :flop:

Yes I do. I don't want to be too personal about my family background, my salary, budget + how hard and how many hours a month I work for my leisure activities. Neither I will say for how many years ans for what reasins I seriously struggled financially and was always in debt. I'm glad to have fought my way from this place and finally be able to live a bit not only survive. Yet, I am STILL POOR. I will consider myself whatever I want and unless somebody knows my life well enough to prove my view wrong, they won't.

They don’t gaf. The only way they will is when we start letting their tours flop!! Stop going! Show them where the money is. The issue is people are all talk. People will be mad but end up buying the $700 tickets.
I’ve been saying these artist moving towards “seated” floor seating is only for more money. No reason an arena show should have fold out chairs starting at $750 each.

There's a spectrum of being poor and even though I am no longer in the extreme I am still far from rich, even medium. I am from Europe btw, now I am saving to see South America and Asia. Poor ppl still can be resourceful, save money, party or eat out. Saving 70-100 $ a month is doable even when sb is making less than me. It's narrow minded thinking. I may as well say you're rich because you have an internet connection and a device to write posts...

Poor people cannot afford non-essential spending.

No one is saying you are rich, well off etc. But calling yourself poor when you can afford to spend $1200 on tickets alone, be it via saving or not, is proof alone that you are not poor.

Words to describe wealth have real meaning, and naturally people will call out others for inaccurate descriptions of such a sensitive subject.

I work for a charity that supports people who are actually poor. People who are in full time work and still unable to afford food by the end of the month. None of them are dropping 1200 on concert tickets that require them to travel to another country. And they certainly aren't in a position where they can party once a month.

Again, not here to argue you are wealthy or well off. But just highlighting that you are doing better than being poor if you can "cut down leisure expenses to one party a month" - and its quite tone deaf to describe yourself as poor while also advertising you have enough income to have non-essential luxury spending capacity.
