andy232000 12,599
Interesting! At first I thought she would skip ASIB since it’s not a fully Lady Gaga Studio album, but I guess since they extended the tour she now has to fill a lot more dates with songs. Now I’m curious to see if she’ll do all ASIB songs or just the Ally Maine tracks. 6
Oriane 21,517
Yeah I thought she might do A star is born when I learnt she did Always remember us this way. I'm glad I got Joanne at mine but sad I didn't get Look what I found, it's one of my faves from her! But glad I got to hear Dance in the Dark on the piano instead of Always remember us this way, as I already got to hear this one live. Juanlittlem 47,293
So are we expecting only Ally songs or Jackson songs as well for ASIB? What does it means it terms of shows/songs left from her discography? Estàvem al cel, ara estem a l'infern

Also agreed. ASIB soundtrack is a really solid album overall and the ballads are some of her best vocal performances. She mentioned that Harlequin was her first steps without Tony. I’d be here for a more modern Jazz album that is infused with ballads like Shallow, ARUTW, INLA, Is That Alright, and Before I Cry. Maybe her next album after the Mayhem era while she is pregnant working on a family. Have the album co-produced with Jon Batiste and Gaga really pushes her pianist skills, vocal abilities, songwriting, and composing. Album broken up into three acts with each act opening and closing with an instrumental similar to Chromatica I, II, & III predominantly her on the piano flexing her skills. Act 1 is Jazz and 1930-1980 retro pop with influences from Swing, Blues, Funk, Doowop, Motown, Soul, and Go-Go predominantly mid and uptempo tracks. Act 2 is Jazz infused with modern pop spanning 1980-2020 from R&B and hip-hop featuring mostly up-tempo. The third act is classified as timeless and is compromised of ballads and power ballads flavored with Jazz and R&B. It’s 17 tracks not counting the act intros/closers. Collabs include Mariah Carey, Destiny’s Child, John Legend, and one or two rappers with at least one being female. The album inspiration is from her marriage and kid/pregnancy as well as more worldly and political topics about the future. Influences span from Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes/Tina Turner, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Amy Winehouse, Norah Jones, Adele, and Christina Aguilera. In addition to tracks such as the ASIB ballads, Harlequin, Red and Blue, pre- The Fame demos, Starstruck, Chillin, Telephone, Teeth, FOHL, BJ+AF, TEoG, J&D, DWUW, Sexxx Dreams, Joanne, Angel Down, Million Reasons, A-YO, RoM, HMH, and DWAS being used as sort of grounding tracks from her discography to the albums overall feel. Album is also designed so that she doesn’t have to overexert herself while pregnant.
