Schwerk 7,307
6 hours ago, Economy said: What causes all this fainting? Poor air circulation? Heat? Too much adrenaline? Often people are too nervous to eat and or drink well before a Gaga show. Especially young ones. Some also wear too little clothing waiting outside and/or wear too much inside. Others might just be more prone to faint in these circumstances than others. We helped a young person who was in a full wintercoat! in the GC. They were brought to us at the barricade by someone and they asked for water. They downed two glasses security gave him. We handed them a dextrose tablet. When security told them to take it, he didn't respond so we lifted him over the barricade. So it's a combination of naivety, people going alone, lining up for a long time but not buying enough food or water. They don't wanna leave their spot to get water or food. According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch

It seems to have become more common the last few years. Some of that might be more awareness through social media. It mainly seems to be woman that will queue up early to try and get to the barricade. Then get dehydrated or fatigued once the show starts having not drank or eaten properly. This is a problem that's always been there, but with venues being more restrictive than ever on what items can be brought in will have made things worse. The change of bigger acts doing longer shows without supports to help pace things out energy wise probably doesn't help either.

The first girl was back on her feet and taken care of by crew on the side of the stage. The second person was carried out by medics to the hallway of the venue. Please don't make this a trend France, I beg you. Getting into the arena was a mess, so I can imagine many monsters weren't as prepared or energetic as usual. That and I've been to the past 4 balls and have seen people faint at all of them. Actually the person was brought backstage, I was at the barricade and the stage manager (I don’t know) was walking past me and I heard him say “bring her backstage”. I just hope all of the people who fainted are good now. Yeah it was a mess, they told us that at 12 we can wait inside where we can get food and drinks and warm ourselves up, but we can’t go Outside anymore or otherwise we would lose our spot. So we brought our stuff to the hotel and didn’t had a lot to wear. At around 2/3 we were kicked out again to the next “waiting line”. So my friends were freezing until 6:40 when we finally could go in.
NewUsername 11,531
I still think by backstage they all just meant to the first-aid. It's technically also backstage. Anyhow, it was clear that 'suddenly' more people started to feel unwell during the minutes after. 3 hours ago, Seby Mayuri said: Actually the person was brought backstage, I was at the barricade and the stage manager (I don’t know) was walking past me and I heard him say “bring her backstage”
