VentiGago 5
@Controversiaga That was my favorite show to watch in video for a long time. The experience you relate is so amazing, your picture with her must be awesome, with the huge and iconic wig she wore!! TheOriginalOne 11,094
SXWS was technically the first time I saw Gaga live. It happened at a place called Stubbs here in Austin and I wasn’t able to get tickets so me and a few friends stood outside on the other side of the fence trying to peak in to watch while also having the livestream playing lmao. Luckily I was able to properly watch her 8 years later at The Chromatica Ball.
PornoDanceFight 299
SXSW for sure. I remember seeing the Swine performance livestreamed and thought, "okay, you can either continue to stan, ignore her, or admire her from far away," and I'm SO happy I decided to double down on my love for her and her artistry. Also going to the artRave was soooo much fun! I wish I didn't lose my iPhone backup from that show.
nATAH 51,668
iTunes fest was such a moment... but lowkey a mistake because a couple of those demos ended up being preferred over the finished things I was so used to listening to the bassy HQ recordings that the actual album suffered in comparison mother, what must i do?

I honestly think the best way to launch a Gaga era is through live performance of some of the tracks … I wish MAYHEM launch had this treatment, to fall in love with the tracks as a live experience 😌…… anyway I love what we got. And the dive bar tour too I remember waking up late at night to watch it live. PartySick 162,795
Going to the opening night of the artRAVE And Swine at SXSW is still my favorite performance of hers by a fairly wide margin You're stinky
Elizabeth 533
Like others have said, the Swine performance at SXSW was honestly insane, I loved it so much! It felt cathartic. artRAVE was also very momentous for me. I'd taken my dad to BTWB a couple of years earlier because we'd just moved to Australia and I had no one else to go with, and he loved it so much that he came to artRAVE with me too (he's lowkey a Gaga stan), we had a great spot to stand in and it was truly incredible This look from the Applause video is also so so special to me, I had the poster of the single cover framed and hung on my wall (it's actually still on the wall of my old bedroom at my parents house ) Edited 7 hours ago by Elizabeth
Brazilwood 4,228
ARTPOP collided with me being ok with my sexuality and finally facing it and being able to declare it to myself. It was right before the album dropped, and as I was always hypnotized by gaga, I could finally be a proud little monster with the freedom to own it, so I started following her closely around September or October 2013, I remember finding low quality leaks, I don't exactly remember when. I still didn't know about this forum then, I wasn't obsessing over her every move, kinda out of the loop a little bit still. But ARTPOP was the era that I fell in love with her and it helped build my identity, and it basically opened the door to queerness and weirdness and fashion and art for me. I remember LOVING the SXSW performance right off the bat, and being able to act cool in school cause I liked the weird popstar who was doing some weird sh!t. It was awesome. I remember waiting for G.U.Y video. I remember trying to watch the VMAs Applause performance and failing, and then just seeing pictures and short videos of her in that white square. Binge watching interviews and just getting used to all the imagery, adjusting to the overload of the senses that she causes when you first start getting into her. What a time.
