He is an older white American man that's not a democrat. There's literally millions in America. He also just happens to be Gaga's dad. Why do we get obsessed over when he is on the news talking politics?

I find it deeply inappropriate to drag Gaga's family like this when it's none of the fanbase's business. Family is ultimately family and I just dont think it's our place to make remarks over him like this. I would absolutely hate it if people online talked about my dad this way, even if I disagreed with him in politics or anything else. I'm sure if Gaga sees any of this, she would too.

I have a lot of time for Joe because, to put it bluntly, no Joe no Gaga, and not just in the 'making a baby' sense but also in the musical influence sense. Having said that, he has made himself into a public figure and therefore I think he is fair game for commentary and criticism.

I mean… he literally used and still uses Gaga’s name to promote his businesses AND got on the news because of her name in the first place (plus Fox purposely does it because of how liberal Gaga and her fan base are). 
And as this is a Lady Gaga forum and he’s using Lady Gaga’s name, we’re entitled to discuss anything related to her (both good and bad)

I’m also sure judging from the last few years, Gaga has had no public affiliation with him and exclusively talks more about her mum than her dad publicly. I definitely feel like after Joanne she grew apart from him lol it happens in adulthood though sometimes; sometimes you realise your parents ain’t sh*t lol

He's not some random yokel on the street living a private life though is he?

He's a regular contributor to Fox News segments. He's made himself a public figure. And its incredibly dangerous to suggest that people cultivating public figure status and engaging regularly with news media and political media are beyond criticism.
