This was a fantastic night all around for Dems and a damning verdict on Trumps second term, can’t wait for the midterms all being well. Going to enjoy the BS spin from Trump and his cronies but also wary of what they will do to no doubt once again usurp the democratic process. Thing is, he can only do so much from the Oval. Let’s hope this time next year we are celebrating not only a lame duck president but one who will be impeached and hopefully this time held accountable for his actions.

In 2021 Cittarelli ran for governor in NJ and the results were much closer.  He came off a Republican independent from Trump to an extent that year.

If you want good news that the Trump brand is now considered toxic this is it…. Jack really didn’t distance himself at all from Trump this election and he got crushed

Very good news. There must be plenty of GOP politicians out there who would drop Trump like a hot potato if they thought it was in their interest. This might help move them in that direction.

The issue is - they can't win their base by dropping him and they can't win swing votes by backing him. They've got no legitimate way out so they need his corruption...

Happy to see all the progressive wins, but still in SHOCK that 40% of votes in almost all races are still voting republican no matter what. The Republicans in congress are literally looking at us and saying "we will get what we want, even if some of you have to starve or lose your job in the process". It just seems so insane to me, but maybe the financial impact hasn't made its way to all those on SNAP just yet.

Also seeing a lot of posts about "how did California call the proposition vote in seconds, it's so rigged".  The amount of people who vote but know NOTHING about the process is so disheartening. It was a good night for progressives so I'll lean on that, but I needed to vent.

In Virginia there was a lot of wondering because a lot of the state votes republican but big cities vote democrat... But we got democrat across the board and counties in our state flipped to blue (I'm so proud to be from one of the counties that flipped to blue)!

Latino community continues to be disappointing sadly, they are the lowest in blue votes among all POC, (Black Americans, Asian Americans, Latino Americans)

After all that ICE raids this year, and the outcome still like this is so discouraging.

At least they still voted a majority blue and hopefully this sets precedent for more members of the community to vote democrat/change their stance

I would be curious to see the stats for how people voted in Virginia (I think the photo I quoted you on was for NJ), because both states have such diverse populations and its always so odd to see the way voters go! I'm just so glad both states went blue and we have 2 amazing governors now who are going to fight for everyone to have the rights they deserve!

I don't have any stats right sway but there was a lot of change between counties of the states and how they voted
