This country has seen more political assisnation attempts in the span of a year than decades prior. These arent normal times and to glamourize an act of political violence for cheap shock value is in extremely poor taste and completely tone deaf. But do I expect anything less from someone who has done the literal most to stay relevant? But what do I know? LOVEDRUG 11,177
His kids are still alive, imagine seeing someone dressed as your mother, covered in your father's blood for Halloween. Dark humour isn't just being mean for the sake of mean, it has to be clever or intelligent to an extent. Where's the joke here? So many people think dark humour is simply saying/doing offensive things and laughing at them, which is exactly what gives it a bad name. RenegAde 20,287
Same site that was crying about kim wearing Monroes dress is dismissing people feeling uncomfortable about someone cosplaying an assassination.

It's not that Jackie Kennedy's hyper tragic experience is funny. It's the absurdity of Julia Fox choosing such an event as her halloween costume and making it super glam that's funny. The distance is what makes it camp and trashy, and that's certainly not for everyone. It's not a tasteful take, but it's definitely done with humour. You don't bedazzle blood splatters if you're serious about the subject matter. To echo the @Ladle Ghoulash, this is c*nt tbh. I don't personally find it offensive. Distasteful? Sure. But Domino's pizza is also distasteful and I ate nearly a whole medium pizza by myself last time I got lit. In other words The only time dark humor doesn't work is when it's punching down at people who've already been disparaged or hurt. JFK's been dead for 60 years, his wife for 30. They don't care about this, I promise 2 hours ago, Ladle Ghoulash said: As others have mentioned, the humor is partially in the meta level “oh my God, I can’t believe she’s wearing that” level, but I also think it’s almost like “yeah, my husband just got shot, but I’m still serving c*nt.” It’s simultaneously the irony of choosing it at all as an outfit but also choosing to depict a post assassination moment as being glamorous. Ok, I have another question, imagine its Michael, (god forbid anything happens to Gaga) - someone cosplaying Michael after publicly assassinating Gaga; Michael with blood, clothes and stuff - and then some years later someone cosplaying Michael - will that be accepted, and regarded as cunty? Hey, I am asking questions, nothing else, I am trying to understand the whole situation. READ MY...BODY LANGUAGE!

The man has as much charisma as a cardboard cutout (and we love him for it) maybe if they bedazzle the blood ? in all seriousness, I don’t think hypotheticals work here because at the end of the day, it’s subjective. I would not find it funny, but some people probably would and that’s ok. There’s no objective truth here, we just deal with the craziness of the world in different ways. gumzy3000 7,766
I usually would find something like this funny and pass it off but in today’s political climate and recent violence that’s happened recently on both the right and left side, this is tacky trolly troll troll
