OMonster 14,788
One of the things I love most about Gaga is that we know most of the lyrics she sings (on original songs) primarily come from her, even if in collaboration with others (which is of course an essential part of the creation process). But there are some tracks that Gaga either didn't write lyrics for at all, or had very minimal lyrical input into (like by changing just a few words). I'd love to know what all of these songs are, out of sheer curiosity. Some that immediately come to mind: Perfect Illusion (main writer: Kevin Parker) Come to Mama (main writer: Father John Misty) Til It Happens To You (main writer: Diane Warren) Sour Candy (main writer: Madison Love) Please add more and/or correct me on any of the above subtext / fantasy 4

River 119,749
Madison only wrote the parts of BP in SC though, she's not the main writer. Kevin didn't write the lyrics of PI, it was based on a demo that mostly was an instrumental with kevin repeating "it wasn't love", it's the psychedelic part of PI, you hear it at the beginning. the song is based on that part. Sine From Above was written by Axwell and Ryan Tedder for Elton John 6-7 years before Chromatica. gagzus 16,302
In her defence Gaga wrote all her own verse in Sour Candy, wrote the “Take a bite Take a bite” bit herself. I know Gaga says it’s her song for her album but it was legit a Blackpink demo. I wanna know the process of how it all happened and came together since

I’m curious about this one because I think it was Ryan who said the song wasn’t even called “Sine from Above”, it was just an Elton John demo sitting on his laptop, and it fits the Chromatica storyline so well, I always thought that she might’ve reused some melodies and the production but participated on the lyrics. See you at the beach. XOXO, The Mistress of Mayhem.

The only thing Gaga added was the “I’m hard on the outside” part and the “I might be messed up” which really elevate the song from just another random cash grab kpop food-related song. Controversiaga 12,109
There could be more we do not know about, but I think the majority of them would be on Joanne and Chromatica as those are the albums that have the highest number of various songwriters credited… …assuming there is no ghost writing involved anywhere Edited October 29 by Controversiaga Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Louvre 4,202
I think the only album where I could see her being the secondary writer for more that 2 songs is maybe chromatica. She didn't really want to make chromatica (kinda) and she has zero production credits on the album. Probably the least involved she was with any album. But our girl is a writer just as much as she is a vocalist. I think she really is heavily involved in every song.

Ladle Ghoulash 29,823
Maybe this is wild speculation on my part, but I always kind of wondered if PI and CTM weren’t songs that she worked on with Tame Impala and FJM and they just recorded their own demos as part of the process. The songs, to me, definitely feel like Gaga had a major hand in writing and shaping them, but I could be wrong.
