Lily Allen goes viral for her 2014 Halloween costume

Back in 2014 at Kate Hudson’s annual Halloween party, Lily, who was one of many celebrities to attend, went for a topical, music industry-insider costume: Dr. Luke as a gynecologist.

At the time, songwriter and music producer Dr Luke had been accused of emotional abuse, sexual assault, and battery, by Kesha. In her lawsuit, the singer alleged that Dr. Luke plied her with drugs and alcohol, then made sexual advances when her defenses were down. Hence, Allen’s gynecologist reference. x

Am i the only one who doesn't get the dr luke kesha shade? he's not even a doctor, and people dress up like nurses n doctors all the time... I find it more amusing she took the costume doctor idea n made it about gynaecology

I read that the funny part was that she dressed up as him because he's a monster. I don't know if she did it with malicious intent. I think she has a very dark sense of humor (which isn't a bad thing), but since she's a public figure, she should be more reserved.

I do think she has a cynical sense of humor. I also think she wouldn't do that today.

yeah. it's like that Kelly Osborne moment on The View... the intent was good, but good lord the execution was friggen atrocious 🫣

 

also being a Lily Allen fan (which I've been since 2008) means knowing she's done effed up sh!t that you wish she hadn't (except the drunk GQ Awards Elton John moment, that was kind of iconic)
