She will not get my vote in the primary.

She couldn't even win a primary the first time, not sure why she wants round 3.

Must be a humiliation kink

The only things she has going for her is "I told you so!" about some of Trumps policies. Besides that, I think she needs to accept that she lost. The DNC needs to use her loss as a learning experience in trying to win back more progressives and get more people to the polls.

Those who refuse to vote for her are voting for Trump, directly or indirectly, idc

So that’s not how American politics work lmao. She would have to run in a primary first in order to secure the nomination to run in the general and Trump is term limited and cannot run again so even if she were the nominee, she wouldn’t be running against Trump.

AOC should run instead

I get the feeling she will. Bernie seemed to be signaling that he wanted her to run and she’s definitely been positioning herself as a leader in the national Dem party (far more than Harris has since the election)

That’s my biggest issue with a Harris candidacy. All else aside, she’s been a virtually absent leader since her loss and it’s been nearly a year. Nearly a year of this s**t and all she can do is smugly tell people I told you so. She’s just not a leader and I’m mot convinced she cares enough about what’s happening to be an effective follow-up to Trump.

Couldn’t agree more about the lack of leadership. The sections of her book where she talks about wanting to distance herself from Biden but caving to pressure from him personally are so damning, imo. I get that he basically gave her the nomination, but also like: he’s historically unpopular and now that you’re the nominee, you’re in the driver’s seat and it’s your responsibility to do what it takes the cross the finish line and imo I think she failed in that instance (and since then) to demonstrate leadership + ambition.

I still remain jaded. As a progressive myself, and all due respect to my fellow lefties, if the threat of Trump wasn't enough motivation to get them to vote for Kamala then they'll never vote correctly which makes them a worthless group of people to chase after.

It's probably why Kamala's team shifted gears towards trying to peel off Trump's support. 'Cause while Trump was promising literal concentration camps for immigrants (something he has since delivered on), leftists were shouting at Kamala's rallies about something she had no power to change and the most similar platform to their demands that has ever hit a presidential ticket.

These idiots are still out here protesting her book tour like...go protest outside the white house or something, you absolute cowards :sharon: buying tickets to a chat with a private citizen that used to hold office just to yell and get kicked out in seconds changes literally nothing and you should be embarrassed.

It doesn't matter how much you capitulate to their demands while remaining realistic and pragmatic, the goal posts always fly away from you when you approach them or one small mistake can cost you their vote entirely despite it all. They're fickle, flakey fools.

Not saying her lack of leadership is right but If this country elected Trump a SECOND time over me I’d say “F*ck it” and let them have what they voted for :rip:

Hang it up.

I would love to see her be AG or something...she has the experience and expertise for it. I voted for her in 2024 but I most likely would not vote for her again compared to other democratic candidates
