The original Devil Wears Prada had an album for the movie with U2, Madonna, Alanis Morissette, Jamiroquai

But that would be the soundtrack, no? The source from Variety distinguishes that it will be featured on the soundtrack and on a new album, which I think suggests at least the possibility of being a cross promotion between DWP2 and a separate LG solo project (similar to how TDD was both on the Wednesday S2 soundtrack and MAYHEM).

The best scenario in my mind, both for us and Gaga is that she has the album material ready/ almost ready and she releases it around the movie premiere, does some intense promo with epic performances, then takes a motherhood break and comes back for her 20- year anniversary tour, with LG8 songs in 2028

The Vanity Fair Italy article I translated had said the song was from THE new album, not A new album. The wording of it being from the new album makes me think they mean Mayhem, and that a separate issue of the album would come with this new song and maybe some other unreleased songs, so it could be that or a Barbie scenario where different celebs contribute. But I think we can’t definitively put down what it is because the article could easily be mistakenly worded, and with the presence of ChatGPT/AI becoming more used in publications, I’d say we’d have to wait and see
