Billionaire singer isnt gonna come here and read it and cry. Engagement whether positive or negative is actually helping her cause people are talking about her. 

Taylor also made this “argument” of engagement helping her whether negative or positive. Except we don’t care if it helps. Doesn’t bother us. People can discuss an album in ways other than positive and it doesn’t have to be necessarily with nefarious intentions or hopes that she fails. We can just say the album isn’t good and talk about it without caring what it does for the numbers. People are allowed to discuss things they don’t care for and why they don’t care for them.

If she was a brand new artist and dropped this, it would be slightly more impressive. She really smirked the whole promo and talking about how brilliant and out of the box it was gonna be... I think she needs to spend more time with people other than her entourage/team. Like when they show the pilot of a tv show to random people to gauge interest.

Edit: Actually that would be so cool if artists did that! Called in random groups of 10-15 from everywhere and played like 3-4 tracks from an album! Obviously ONLY if the artist is concerned with how well their music would play to the GP

She needs to do what Gaga and Adele do and live a life between albums. How many songs can she wrote about boys, having quirks, and being a victim while having a 10 figure bank account

I 110% agree! You can also see the growth and maturity throughout albums of Gaga, Adele, and other artists (P!nk is one artist I think whose discography really shows her growth)

They show that you can still experience life and be inspired by it even when becoming famous... and not treat it like someone put a halt to your actual life.

When MJ put out Thriller with the intention of forcing the industry to acknowledge him despite being a black artist, people asked "how the hell does he follow this one up?". Despite Bad being in the top 15 best selling albums of all time, it did less than Thriller, so Mike decided to shift his focus. Of course, he still cared about his position on the top of the industry but his next album was made with the intention of defining him as an artist. And the album after that defined him as a person. It wasn't until his last album where he was just making music to make music.

Taylor could do the same. Sacrifice taking over the top ten every time she drops an album in favor of making an album that's actually worth a spin or two. Music that actually has something to say  

I know she can do it, she's done it before, she just needs to prioritize maturity, growth, integrity, and sincerity over greed.

She won't, but she could

And maybe that's why she makes me yap so much  it feels like talent wasted chasing profits instead of being captivating and stimulating.

I have no doubt she could do it! I remember when she first hit the scene and I thought she was brilliant. It was over time I saw she just neglected her authenticity and talent in order to create music that will ALWAYS sell. 

If she could realize she has a bank account balance that makes it safe for her to just put out something experimental, I would regain respect for her as an artist

Edit: With her size fanbase and their loyalty- I am shocked she hasn't tried to branch out and experiment! And if they don't like it, they aren't true fans of hers
