I love Harlequin with all my heart, amazing album, but honestly, I wish for Gaga to not center these films around her music career this much, she managed to get out of it this time but it's just not worth the risk

I feel like you could tell around the promo tour that there wasn’t much enthusiasm even from the cast towards the movie. 

Even if they thought the movie was poor they couldn’t pull the plug as it cost so much money, but sometimes I do wonder if it should’ve just been cancelled lmao.

it was the perfect role for her, she must have had some bad karma for that project to sink the way it did

not sure why people think it's proof she should stop acting though, her acting was praised... no actor out there has a perfect record of movies, having flops is part of it

she did her part well, the rest was beyond her control and it's a risk she'll be taking with every acting project (and album)

Love it! Saw it twice at the theater (Oct 3 + 4) and once on streaming. Can't wait to watch it for the anniversary!

I think it's just a misunderstood masterpiece and those that get it, get it. Notable icons in the film industry like Quentin Tarantino, Francis Ford Coppola, etc, have praised the film.

I liked the movie, especially the musical elements and visual aspects/cinematography, the gray and gritty quality contrasting with the saturated colors during the musical parts  love love love Gaga and Joaquin energy together for the duets 

The story was different than expected and I miss having the film that we thought it was going to be, but I appreciate it as a totally different thing

This tbh. I definitely was expecting something else (as was majority of the audience) but there's a whole meta concept of it all that most people don't understand (which is fine too!)

It was brave and daring to go the musical route anyways, which is already a niche genre, but to do it for a sequel to a film who's target audience is definitely not into musicals was the ultimate power move.
