Bronco 12,669
She already did hunger marketing for Mayhem. Announced lead single was out in October. Released it at the end of October. Announced album was out in February. Released it in March. 4

Idefix1999 114
I hate the limited sales. If you aren't at it right at the start when they begin you have no chance of getting one of those limited copies. I would have loved to get one of the vinyls for TLOS with the blue and yellow feathers, but they sold out so fast, although 47 hours were left for their "availability". For Mayhem we knew the special editions from the beginning and you could order them when you decided to get this variant or not. I'm just waiting for the TLOAS variants being available again just like all the strictly-limited-once only variants of TTPD were several times after the release. Melbourne Monster 49
I love local midnight releases. There’s something about pressing play at midnight and listening in the dark 2
princedeeblebleble 1,962
She does by releasing pop music once in a blue moon and teasing a year earlier while "feeding" us with Jazz and questioable movies

chathonnete 779
Not useful we don't care If the music is great and she doesn't release it close to a Beyonce or Taylor album she'll get #1 and sold out a whole tour we don't care Strategy isn't what's working best with Gaga, TDD flopped while it was fully released during a Wednesday episode (the most watched Netflix show), because the song is too commercial and associated with Netflix The thing Gaga can trust the most is her talent, work and authenticity
HomoMonsterions 507
What's the point? I’d rather she release good music than do those gimmicky things. I will still tune in to listen to her music no matter what, so what time the records come out doesn't matter. I buy gaga's albums because of the music, NOT because 'others bought it so I have to buy it,' or because it's trendy to collect all those vinyl editions, or to push her to number one on charts, or for whatever reasons swifties have for buying taylor's albums.
nATAH 50,731
absolutely f*cking not the mayhem variants were stressful enough already, popping up one by one the extra layer of intense pressure by making them limited time is greedy and nasty mother, what must i do? Addison Rae 17,028
it works if the material is widely acclaimed on release. if it’s mediocre or not what the marketing made it seem like it would be, it would cause a huge backlash for her sitting on his lap sipping diet pepsi
TheARTPOPball 709
I think MAYHEM would have done at least a little better if….. Disease was released at least 2 weeks before Halloween There was some kind of MAYHEM related content in between the two singles. Possibly a promotional single or at least an official preview of a track or two on the album Some sort of ridiculous collaboration like the Oreo one for Chromatica, or just more physical marketing to get ppl talking. Otherwise i think the promo this era has been pretty good.
Anderson123 38,845
That type of marketing only works for Taylor because they know that no matter the quality of the music, the fans are going to buy as many copies as they announce because they are massive collectors and are used to these million variants thing.
