The chances of it happening a 3rd time are negligible. If her beating Adele doesn't happen coming off the biggest tour of the 21st century so far, its never going to happen. I genuinely think she'll lose fans this era - the Folklore to TTPD era of fan that primarily likes her lofi synth and acoustic approach wont be fully behind a full pop era. I know of some smaller artists who have launched preadds etc before dropping a single, but not in a way comparable to Taylor. However, tours have increasingly been preempting lead singles.
