As much as i agree this is milking fans, at the end of the day - if it bothers you and you don’t agree with it, simply don’t buy it.

They're rose petals, not gold leaf! Sure, it's expensive because only a few copies are made and it's limited edition most likely, but "it's super rare, that's why it's so pricey" is the excuse these singers have to charge outrageous prices. But it's only because they made it that way. It's their choice to make it limited, to have a reason to make it expensive. Stunts like this makes me wish not a single one gets sold. How some fans can pay for this when they have no idea how the album sounds yet is even wilder to me (and there's no extra tracks on it either). If I bought vinyl, there's no way I'd purchase it until I'd heard the entire album in full and knew I loved it first.

I wondered that too. I've considered if they're embalmed in some sort of gel but I don't ultimately know how long any kind of preservation procedure lasts over time. In the same way that I don't know how a lock of human hair put into a locket retains its colour before it starts going grey or if it stays that colour when it has no life source attached to it.
