It's undeniable that male rap culture revolves about violence/women and drugs.

You can be tired of it, but that's the reality, maybe we should be more angry at the socioeconomic reasons why this is, but that's an entirely different topic.

every rapper talks about that, if they go by your suggestion no more rappers would be signed to any label :air:

Not y’all assuming he’s a rapper just cause he’s a black man. He literally sings slow Lana type indie ballads :icant:

Maybe more on the alternative&funky side but you cant deny his influences:

After hearing the song "Gucci Gang" by Lil Pump, he began to listen to more music on his school laptop, discovering XXXTentacion and Members Only. Burke later discovered the indie music genre through a Fortnite montage.

Also, skin color has nothing to do with this, and you are the first to bring it up, in this example we have Lil pump as an influence for d4vid, but we can go back even further to when Eminem was rapping about killing his own mother, the socioeconimc issues are present regardless of skin color.

He literally has a song called romantic homicide and all the other lyrics are telling. they caused the life of a girl if they knew or not.

that’s why you shouldn’t sign every psycho who make some numbers on SoundCloud

We’re on a forum dedicated to a pop star who has a song about skinning people alive?

I'd never heard of him until yesterday and honestly, I'd be more invested if he was more famous. What a claim to fame. There would be conspiracy theories that this was a PR stunt to gain fame if it didn't involve actual murder. That poor girl will have one hell of a story if she could tell it and I hope we get the full script and D4vd and any other people involved see justice.

I agree with that, they need to be vetted far more. Not everyone who builds an indie audience deserves a platform firstly but maybe getting to know them fully before prepping them for primetime is the way to go. It's a bad look for the label if they keep signing bad apples. And labels need to step in more if they see an artist on their roster acting suspiciously and stop turning an blind eye to illegal things they do because they want to keep making money off their hit maker.

also, innocent until proven guilty. Though signs may point to his guilt - there’s still a chance he is not.

It was his car that the girl was found in and he hadn't even reported it missing in all the weeks her body was lying there so it wasn't like someone else killed her and planted it there. And all the proof is there that they had a relationship and therefore he had an intimate connection with her that was a motive for her murder. He also always releases music on her birthday and made a TikTok where he was cleaning a pair of shoes that looked just like a pair she was one photographed wearing. Sure, there's a chance there's more people involved but he definitely was responsible in some way.

Sure. All I’m saying is that people can’t be judge, jury and executioner. We know none of the details, only what’s been reported.

And she poisoned one, set another on fire and then poisoned an entire restaurant. :icant:
