It really doesn't seem to be anything as insensitive or awful as some people are making it out to be, but to each their own

He literally said what MAGA goons have been doing.. So they remove him from the public eye. As a European, this sh*t is getting scarier by the day. I truly fear for the future of the US and also he impact it will have on a global scale.

I don’t care for the crass or poor taste comments mocking the man’s death coming from anyone. I don’t condone them. Jimmy’s comments were far from being offensive and definitely not celebrating anything or anyone. 

 

If anything, he is mocking the people that are trying to get some type of benefit from his death.

As a Canadian watching this unfold, those who are saying this is “good” are genuinely stupid. If you read what Kimmel said that got him cancelled then you should be afraid of what other rights you’re about to lose.

In a sane world with decent standards of behaviour, a talk-show host passing the remarks that Jimmy Kimmel did should get fired imo. But it's not a sane world, and if it was a sane world Jimmy Kimmel would not have said what he said. The US President (that is THE President of THE United States of America) can attribute blame for the murder of Charlie Kirk to 'the left' and also literally declare war on 'the left' before a single shred of evidence is presented in a courtroom, and there are no consequences for him, but a talk-show host who says that the murderer was maga (but doesn't declare war on anyone) loses his job. It's bananas.

Well then, they're indoctrinated grifters. I think I just want politics to be less about verbal warfare and more about compromise with the other side. I know that's naive in this day and age but we all know that's better. Instead it's about sides and winning and this escalation into oblivion
